Lovely Location

Browning Bros is situated at Tey Brook Farm in the village of Great Tey; just 6 miles south-west of Colchester in Essex. We are your first stop out of London for a quirky corporate event and are easily reachable from other UK cities such as Brighton, Cambridge, and Oxford. Our site is located on a 5th generation farm in a secluded and idyllic location. Set in the heart of the picturesque Colne Valley in rural North Essex, you can immerse yourself in nature for a truly unforgettable corporate retreat.

Our woodland venue at Tey Brook Orchard is perfect for more intimate work events, boasting a large 60ft x 30ft marquee for dining and conference usage. On the other hand, our Chalkney Water Meadows site has acres upon acres of space, making it ideal for larger corporate gatherings. Perched on the edge of a picturesque tree-lined lake, Chalkney Water Meadows has 3 festival-style giant tipis available, seating up to 150 guests in total.

Glorious Glamping

We are proud to be Essex’s top glamping site. Teybrook Orchard boasts a wide variety of accommodation sleeping up to 40 people in total, including 4 yurts, 4 bell tents, 1 converted grain silo and 1 shepherd’s hut. We can also supply additional 5m bell tents for any extra staff members. Chalkney Water Meadows features luxury Nomadic bell tents, which can be made up as single/twin occupancy or multiple occupancy (up to 4 people). We also have 2 luxury cabins available, just a 2-minute walk away from the site.

We also offer mini tipi sleepovers for those who wish to relive their childhood camping experiences. Mini tipis can be supplied in our marquees or giant tipis, making for a truly memorable and unique experience under canvas.

Amazing Activities

Browning Bros. has teamed up with several local companies, allowing us to offer a wide array of both indoor and outdoor activities; from laser battles to flower crown making and everything in between. Our full list of activities includes: kayaking/paddle boarding, bushcraft & survival skills, artistic challenges, cocktail making, cooking classes, nature walks, treasure hunts, yoga, meditation and spa treatments.
