woodburner instructions
Chopped logs and firelighters are supplied for the wood burner. In case you are not familiar with lighting a fire, then please follow the steps below:
Start off by adding a small amount of kindling with 2-3 firelighters.
Light the firelighters. As this fire starts to burn, add more kindling and smaller wood for at least 10 minutes until it gets very hot and burns through the kindling.
Add larger logs to the wood burner. Keep the vent open for at least 15 minutes to get the fire roaring.
A small hatchet is in the log store if you need to split any more wood.
Please do not leave the wood burner unattended while it is lit, and please do not remove ash from the burner at the end of your stay.
