The wild table 2026
Following two sold-out events in 2025, The Wild Table returns. Our woodland restaurant is a collaboration with The Laundry Brixton, a space where the pace slows, the fire leads, and the story of the land is told through every dish.
15 – 17 May
The restaurant reopens as the canopy fills in. We celebrate the start of the summer season with a menu focused on the first of the spring harvest and fresh, vibrant flavours.
18 – 20 September
The final chapter is defined by stillness. As the year transitions, we pause to appreciate the late harvest with a menu of rich, deep flavours and a slower, more relaxed pace.
The experience
A walk through the trees and a seasonal cocktail to start. We dine at long communal tables, where every dish is cooked over the open fire. When the evening ends, dinner guests can retreat to glamping dwellings just a short walk away and wake up to a campfire breakfast.
Part Kiwi, Part British, Part Bistro.
Meet The Laundry
The Laundry is a Brixton-based bistro and wine shop led by New Zealand-born chef and sommelier Melanie Brown. Known for its ingredient-led dishes, seasonal cooking, and relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant has become a South London favourite for good reason.
Mel brings years of experience in both kitchens and wine cellars, with a background that spans high-end hospitality and a deep knowledge of food provenance. Her food is big on flavour, low on fuss, and always rooted in what’s fresh, local, and best in season.
For this event, she’s stepping away from the pass and cooking over fire in the woods. You’ll taste the same passion and precision you’d find at her Brixton restaurant - just with a few more trees and a lot more stars.
