Arrival and finding your way

Finding the meadow

  • Search “Chalkney Water Meadows” in Google Maps for the direct entrance.

  • What3Words: Use ///power.remotest.confetti for the exact gate location.

  • Backup sat nav: Use postcode CO6 2PP. This leads to Colne Commercials; look just to the east (under the pylon) for the "Chalkney Water Meadows" signs.

  • On arrival: Drive through the main gate, follow the track, and veer left into the meadow car park.

  • Final leg: The glamping village is a short 100m walk from the reception area.

find your pitch

Glamping: Follow the signs from the car park to the glamping area. Your bell tent will be labeled with the name sent to you via email.

Pitch-your-own/campers: Please set up in the meadow space next to the giant hat tipis.

Access: Ensure you leave a clear access way for suppliers when setting up.

Parking policy: After unloading, all cars must be moved back to the car park. Please do not leave vehicles in the meadow.

General information

Boring but important

PLEASE NOTE

  • PLEASE CLOSE DOORS TO THE BELL TENTS WHEN LEAVING.

  • Please also ensure the camp kitchen doors are kept shut at all times to prevent squirrels from sneaking in.

  • Please be aware of the dangers imposed by the lake. Please ensure that all children are closely supervised. Life rings are dotted around the lake.

  • Any damage to our glamping accommodation will be charged to the couples/event organisers damage deposit.

  • The couple/event organiser may be liable for any extra cleaning that may be required if the tent is left in an unsatisfactory condition. This may include soiled bed linen, stained carpets or smoke.

  • The following are not permitted inside of our tents: gas appliances of any kind, fires or smoking.

  • Members of Browning Bros. or its agents are not responsible for any personal injury, or damage/loss to persons or personal property suffered during your stay.

  • We will not be held liable for any Act of God including storms, fire, flooding or natural disasters.
