The self-check-in time is from 16:00 on Friday if you are staying the night before the wedding, and from 10:00 (or if otherwise instructed) -if you are arriving on the day of the wedding and departure depends on the couple so they will confirm this with you.
Please note that there is no reception onsite. Please check your confirmation booking email for the tent name you have been allocated. If necessary, please contact your event coordinator who emailed you
How to find us & your TENT
**Type “Chalkney Water Meadows”into Google Maps which brings you directly to the main entrance - this is the best route**
Should you not have Google Maps, the nearest post code (CO6 2PP) will bring you to a van garage called Colne Commercials on the A1124. To the east of the van garage (under the telephone pylon) is a large entrance with wooden signs “Chalkney Water Meadows”. The gate should be open for your arrival, please drive down the track and veer left into the meadow car park. The glamping village is located approximately 100m from the wedding ceremony and reception area.
Once you have parked follow signs to the venue and glamping areas. You will find your Bell Tent with the name corresponding to the Bell Tent you have been emailed. Pitch your own tents/campers are to go in the meadow space (please leave an access way for suppliers), and please do not leave your car in the meadow, all cars are to be parked in the car park.

Extra bell tents
What’s included in Your tent?
Velvet Monkey, Hyena, Waterbuck, Eland, Aardvark, Bushbaby, Wildebeest, Ostrich, Antelope, Hornbill
If the main 20 glamping tents are fully booked, we can put up additional bell tents in the meadow (behind the tipis, a short walk from the other tents) especially for you.
Please note, these tents are more basic in that they don’t have electricity but rather lanterns for lighting and don’t have a bed stead, rather mattresses on the floor.
The tents are the same price as the main glamping village, as even though they are less glamorous, there is more work involved setting them up for you at this wedding.
Included: Mattresses on the floor, full bedding, bed linen & bath towels, lanterns for light, mirror for “glampifying”.
Onsite there are toilet and showering facilities, as well as a kitchen with drinking water and getting ready tent with power sockets.
